Academic Qualifications

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri
Msc. In Chemistry, Mangalore University, Mangala Gangothri, Mangalore University, Konaje

Thrust Area of Research
  • Electrochemistry
  • Developing electrochemical sensors for biologically significant molecules such as endocrine disruptors, neurotransmitters, amino acids, flavonoids, heavy metal ions, pharmaceutically significant molecules, and environmentally hazardous molecules.
  • Application of the developed sensors in the determination of target analyte in real samples such as blood serum, cerebral fluid, urine, milk, fruit juices…etc.  Pulse techniques such as differential pulse voltammetry, anodic/cathodic differential pulse voltammetry, stripping voltammetry, hydrodynamic linear sweep voltammetry, and amperometry are used for the quantification.
  • Electropolymerization, drop-casting, bulk modification, and covalent modification using biocompatible and new-generation materials for modification of the electrodes.
  • Developing electrocatalysts for redox reactions and studying charge transfer kinetics by electrochemical impedance study.
  • Study of the behavior of the modified electrodes in the surfactant medium using different electrochemical techniques.
