Admission to the PhD Programme (January 2024)
(Full Time and Part Time)
Qualifying Degree
• Master's or equivalent degree in Sciences (MSc, MTech, MRes)
• Master's or equivalent degree in English
Requirement (Marks / CGPA / CPI)
• Candidates belonging to the General Merit category should have a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade in the Masters's degree
• Candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC (only Non-Creamy Layer) / Differently Abled categories to have a Minimum of 50% or equivalent grade in the Masters's degree
Entrance Test and Interview
• There will be an entrance test of a two-hour duration, carrying 70 marks, based on which a shortlist of candidates will be prepared, followed by an interview for the shortlisted candidates (30 marks). The details of the entrance test, such as the topics/areas that would be tested and the question paper pattern, are available online (website link).
• Candidates who have qualified NET (JRF/LS), GATE, and KSET (Karnataka) are exempted from the entrance test. They will directly attend the interview (100 marks).
• The selection will be based on the combined score obtained by the candidate in the entrance test and the interview.
Application
• The application form is available online https://sju.linways.com/v4/adm-applicant/login. It should be filled and submitted online on or before. The application fee is Rs.1000. It should be paid online.
