The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at St Joseph’s University has been established in the year 2024 under the initiative of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC). The Ministry of Education (MoE), in the year 2018 launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) programme in collaboration with the AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in educational institutions. The primary role of the IIC is to engage the faculty members, students and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities to establish and stabilize the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

To create an entrepreneurial ecosystem for the students, faculty, and the staff whereby their innovative ideas and strategies could be transformed into prototypes or start-up ventures.
