Architecture

The hostel block building, a semi circular -crescent-shaped stone building, built in 1948 is a remarkable specimen of architecture. The semi-circular building, as distinctive in its architecture as the other College buildings, had a hundred and twenty single rooms and four large halls, one of which is a prayer hall. Two of these halls were later converted into cubicles, thus augmenting the available accommodation to a hundred and eighty. Currently, the hostel can house 118 students only.

Spacious common rooms are provided in the hostel for constructive activities like indoor games, discussions and recreation within the hostel. Indoor games like carrom, chess and table tennis - are provided for the inmates. The sports equipment is provided by the sports committee of the hostel.

The Hostel has access to a Badminton Court, Basketball courts, Volleyball court, Cricket and Football grounds and facilities for other indoor games.

Various committees viz, cultural, sports, mess, maintenance, prayer hall activities have been set up to provide opportunities for the overall development in their personalities during their stay in the hostel. These committees serve to organize all the events in the hostel.

Reading Room, Library and TV room
The hostel provides daily newspapers. Students can also utilize the hostel library and TV during the leisure hours.

A unique initiative: Canteen committee:
Formation of head, heart, and hands is what we the hostel inmates are known for. In order to make the boys to avail some real time marketing and management experience a food committee is formed to take care of the daily canteen operations. They regulate the monthly purchases of ration and other food items. They form groups within the committee each with individual responsibility and carry out the job meticulously and with transparency.
