“Being brave isn’t the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear but finding a way through it.” Having a quintessential lot of dreamers and achievers, the alumni of 1 KAR ARMD SQN NCC TP-3 set off ground and reached heights. Ever since the inception of this squadron, cadets have spearheaded home records such as being selected adventurous camps such as Para Basic Course, Scuba Diving, Skiing, Basic Mountaineering Camp (BMC) and IMA Attachment Camp.
ANO of 1 KAR ARMD SQN NCC TP-3, whose achievements are second to none has been decorated with ground breaking records. As an alumnus of this unit, Lt Akshay D Mandlik took charge as the ANO from 2015. Bagged gold medal in drill, physicals and obstacle training at OTA, Kamptee and became the first ANO to complete a Scuba Divers course and a Para Glider pilot course, from NIMAS (National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports, MoD) and Skiing course and Basic Mountaineering course as well.
A grueling yet wholesome experience high up in the mountains, was grabbed by two of the unit’s SWs – L/CPL Dhriti and CPL Vidisha Joshi, who have also received an Alpha grading in BMC (Basic Mountaineering Course) organized by NIMAS.
Among many, an experience of a life time to every cadet was offered bythrough ‘Rock Climbing’ activity which took place at Ravugodlu, Kanakpura.
