The program is intended for students with an undergraduate background in Chemistry or Biochemistry, including those who have completed a 3-year B.Sc. program with Chemistry or Biochemistry as one of the major subjects, or an Honours degree in either discipline.

Graduates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all the subjects and 50% marks in Chemistry (cognate subject) / Biochemistry (with a minimum of 24 credits in Chemistry).

The syllabus for the Master of Science (MSc) in Biochemistry is as follows:

Note: 

  •  To claim the Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied the last 7 years in Karnataka.[Not applicable for OCI (Overseas Citizens of India), PIO (Person of Indian Origin), and Foreign Nationals].

NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the Programme for candidates who:

  • Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
  • NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.
