About the Programme

The PGDFM programme is to acquaint the students with the financial problems faced by business organisations and equip them to find out proper solutions to resolve the concerned issues.

  • The PGDFM programme is designed to acquaint the students with financial problems faced by business organisations and equip them to find out proper solutions to resolve the concerned issues.
  • The programme will prepare the students in the specialised fields of financial management, such as fixed capital management, working capital management, portfolio management, etc. The thrust of the financial management programme is to prepare students for a better understanding of financial statements, financial tools for decision-making and their application and usefulness to business houses, management of working capital and financial investment analysis, etc.

Eligibility for joining the PG Diploma in Financial Management programme: Graduates from any recognised University. An executive/professional seeking admission to the programme must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any Statutory University or any other recognised Foreign University.

Any candidate who has obtained a Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or any other recognised Foreign University securing not less than 50% marks shall be eligible to apply for the PG Diploma Programme.

In the case of SC/ST/Cat-I/Differently abled candidates, and those who are appointed as teachers, librarians, and physical education personnel in colleges and university departments, the minimum marks shall be 45% provided the employees are continuing in service at the time of submission of application for registration.

Admission process: The applicants must fill in complete information on the online application form and upload all required certificates (whatever is available) and photos.

Selection process: The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. There are two rounds in the interview. Once the final interview is over, candidates have to pay their programme fee within 48 hours and the mode of payment must be online. The dates of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates and will be announced on the website

Candidates must note that if selected, admission is provisional and subject to admission rules until all documents are submitted to the University office.

Selected candidates must first update the following documents on their admission portal before the interview. The admitted students must submit the original documents at the Admin Office:

  • Class 10th Certificate (High School) and Marks Card
  • Class 11th Certificate and Marks Card
  • Class 12th Certificate (Senior Secondary School) and Marks Card
  • Undergraduate Marks Cards and Convocation Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate from last qualified institution
  • Migration Certificate if the candidate is outside Karnataka state
  • Two passport-size photographs and one stamp-size photograph in formal dress with a white background
  • Two Photocopies of the Online Payment Receipt
  • Valid ID proof such as Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID Card
  • Letter of Undertaking.pdf
  • Candidates belonging to any of these categories -PIO / OCI / SAARC / FOREIGN NATIONALS-must submit the following documents:

  • Photocopy of Passport and Visa Details
  • Copy of PIO / OCI card (whichever is applicable and available at the time of admission)
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness from an approved medical practitioner accredited by the Medical Council of India
  • Resident Permit (If available)

The syllabus for Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) is as follows:

  • The main objective of this programme is to develop knowledge, skills and an integrated perception of various functions of financial management. In line with the vision and mission of the institution, the Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management programme is designed to provide the students with knowledge, skills and attitude for a successful career in finance.
