We at St Joseph’s University have a team of counsellors who are available for all student support needs throughout the academic year. Our counsellors are well equipped with skills that aide in guiding students throughout their academic, social and personal journey of self-discovery. As a team of counsellors we believe in accepting our students and nurturing their capabilities to the fullest.
A key factor that we give importance to is the concept of confidentiality. We understand that seeking help on campus can bring about some form of worry. However, we assure students complete confidentiality right from the time they approach us until they graduate from our university.
Counselling sessions that are offered to students on campus are free of cost. There is also no limit on the number of sessions a student can avail. We encourage students to make use of this opportunity because there can be strength in vulnerability. Knowing when to ask for help is something that we all need to learn, and it’s sometimes the only thing that matters.
We cater to all mental health issues and they do not have to be specific to academics.
