Director's Message
We are educating a generation that is growing up in a world unlike any before it. Young people today are connected to more information, possibilities and voices than ever, yet they also face new forms of uncertainty, distraction, isolation and pressure. They can be easily influenced, but they also possess an extraordinary capacity to question, create, connect and transform. When this energy is rooted in reflection, conscience and purpose, young people can become powerful agents of change.
This is where the Centre for Human Excellence (CHE) finds its meaning within a Jesuit university. Academic knowledge prepares the mind; education must also form the person. CHE seeks to complement the academic rigour of the University by creating spaces where students learn to understand themselves, read the world critically, make responsible choices, and discover how their knowledge can become a force for the common good.
Through life skills, social analysis, professional formation and reflective programmes such as Kairos, we accompany students in developing resilience, self-awareness, empathy, ethical judgement and the capacity to engage responsibly with society. Our approach is rooted in the Jesuit tradition of holistic formation and the enduring call to form women and men for others.
Our aspiration is not simply to prepare students for a successful life, but for a meaningful and responsible one, persons who can think deeply, choose wisely, relate compassionately and act courageously.
In a rapidly changing world, CHE seeks to help young people become not merely products of their times, but shapers of the times to come.
