The motto of the Youth Red Cross is “Service to Humanity,” which reflects the idea of helping people selflessly without expecting anything in return. It encourages students to develop kindness, empathy, and a sense of social responsibility.
The symbol of the Red Cross is a red cross on a white background, which is recognized worldwide as a sign of care, protection, and neutrality. The red colour represents sacrifice and courage, while the white background stands for peace and equality.
Student volunteers must follow discipline and actively participate in all YRC activities, programmes, and camps. Attendance is important and often mandatory for completing YRC hours. Volunteers should be punctual and follow instructions given by coordinators.
Wearing identification badges during programmes is necessary. Volunteers should represent the organization positively and maintain good conduct. Discrimination based on caste, religion, or gender is strictly not allowed. All members must follow the principles of humanity, neutrality, and service. Teamwork, cooperation, and a helpful attitude are very important qualities expected from every volunteer.
