Dr. Sachin B. S. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at St. Joseph's University, Bengaluru. He is an academician, researcher, and trainer specializing in Human Resource Management, qualitative research, financial social work, poverty, vulnerability, and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) techniques. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from Tumkur University, a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) with a specialization in Human Resource Management from Kuvempu University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Tunga College. He has also qualified for lectureship through both the UGC-NET and KSET. Previously, he served as a Faculty member at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Centre for Social Justice and Equality, Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Mysuru. His prior academic appointments include serving as a faculty member at Bengaluru City University, Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Sri Basaweshwara College, Hemadri PG Centre, and Vidyavahini First Grade College. Dr. Sachin has authored five books and edited one volume covering themes in social work practice, human resource management, and financial vulnerability. Additionally, he has published over 20 peer-reviewed research papers in international journals and contributed multiple chapters to edited books. He has coordinated and facilitated more than 50 government and institutional training programs at the Administrative Training Institute, developed specialized training modules, and submitted policy action research to the Government of Karnataka. Furthermore, he serves as an editorial board member and peer reviewer for academic journals affiliated with Oxford University Press, Springer and other scholarly publishers.
