Teaching has never been just a profession for me — it is part of who I am. Over the past decade, I have taught at different institutions, growing into an educator who values academic rigour alongside compassion, dialogue, and critical thinking. My research journey is deeply personal. As a Sindhi, I grew up with stories of a homeland I never saw — stories of resilience, loss, and identity carried through language, food, and memory. These experiences shaped my Ph.D. thesis, which explored the poetry of Sindhi writers who bore the trauma of Partition. For me, this work was more than scholarship; it was a way of reclaiming and honouring a collective memory often pushed to the margins. At the heart of my work lies a love for language, storytelling, and the transformative power of ideas — whether in the classroom or in research, I strive to create spaces where knowledge connects with lived experience.
